Job summary

BlueFin is seeking an entry-level Equipment Technician I to join our field services team in Louisiana. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance of pumping equipment and supporting technicians and mechanics in daily tasks.

The position involves assisting with preventative maintenance, site cleanliness, and tool organization, with potential local travel and after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Equipment Technicians and Mechanics with general duties.
• Maintain and organize shop areas and facilities.
• Support with forklift and crane inspections and yard organization.
• Assist in preventative maintenance, washing and painting equipment.
• Help with shipping/receiving and tool parts organization.
• Participate in equipment team call rotation; weekend/after-hours work possible.

Job Summary

The Equipment Technician I is an entry-level role ideal for those interested in a hands-on approach to working with pumping equipment. The primary responsibility of this position includes maintaining equipment as directed by the District Manager or another designated supervisor. This position does not directly supervise others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Equipment Technicians and Mechanics with general duties, including low pressure testing, job mobilization, etc.
• Keep all areas of the shop clean and well organized
• Maintain facility as needed (minor repairs, paint, etc.)
• Assist daily with forklift inspections, overhead crane inspections, organizations of tools and parts
• Assist in preventative maintenance work on equipment, including washing, prep and painting of equipment
• Assist with shipping and receiving of equipment (forklift operations)
• Assist weekly with organizing the yard
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and programs as defined by BlueFin Field Services
• Participate in equipment team call rotation. Available for weekend and after-hours work
• Other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in harsh conditions
