Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS is seeking an Equipment Technician in Dalton, GA to perform preventive maintenance on production equipment essential to manufacturing processes. You will work on a swing shift (12 hours) from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM and report to the Equipment Manager.

The role requires 3+ years of experience with machines, strong mechanical maintenance knowledge, safety discipline, and the ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling machines and machine parts.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and recommend repairs.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
• Adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of machine and components using hose, air guns, IPA, cloths, vacuum and other appliances.
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for replacement or repair using chain falls, hand tools and jacks.
• Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements.
• Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.
• Application of adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment in accordance with stated procedures.
• Put machine parts together after accomplishing maintenance and repair work.
• Take off hardened material from machines or machine parts by utilizing power and hand tools jack and sledge hammer, abrasive and other appliances.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS.
• Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management.

Location: Dalton, GA

Schedule: Swing Shift (12 hours)

Night: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Required Qualifications

• +3 years of cognitive and vocational experience in handling machine and machine parts
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance process
• Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning
• Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination
• Excellent time management skills and execute all orders and/or demands in a timely manner
• Ability to handle basic tools
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and without assistance
• Strong knowledge of safety precautions
• Ability to illustrate general maintenance requisite and simple procedures for operation on various pumps including reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, and etc.
• Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled
• Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player
