Job summary

Leon Brother is seeking an Equipment Technician in Jeffersonville, IN to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment. The role requires hands-on technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and dedication to safety, quality, and equipment reliability.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and optimize production.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant equipment maintenance, manufacturing support, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience on manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with solar cell production equipment such as screen printers, diffusion furnaces, wet benches, and PECVD systems is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends as required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; proficient with maintenance software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor equipment operation during shifts and adjust as needed to maintain production efficiency.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment issues and support uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair actions; prepare shift reports as needed.
• Follow maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Assist with setup and calibration of new equipment and upgrades.
• Participate in shift handovers and communicate ongoing issues and completed tasks to incoming teams.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment optimization.
• Work assigned shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
