Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Technician 1 to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment in a safety-focused environment. You will work on aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and other specialty lines as needed, with opportunities for career growth in service or operations management.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 1–3 years of technician experience in diesel or heavy equipment preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime.
• Our fleet varies by location and includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools and equipment.
• Related experience may include Shop Mechanic, Mechanic, Technician, Service Foreman, Service Manager, etc.
