Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician 1 in Hyattsville, MD to perform preventive maintenance and repair on a diverse range of equipment. You will work on a variety of makes and models, with a team that emphasizes safety and efficiency.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED (trade training preferred) and 1–3 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience. Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems is essential, and bilingual abilities may be needed depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 to 3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and troubleshooting fundamentals; knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Ensure work is done in the safest, most effective way to avoid downtime.
• Operate on a variety of makes, models & equipment as assigned.
