Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to support our Milwaukee shop. You will perform check-ins, minor repairs, and assist with electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine maintenance on construction equipment, ensuring safe, reliable gear for customers.

This full-time role requires 1–3 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of technician experience with diesel equipment or heavy construction equipment
• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Performs check-ins and minor repairs when equipment is returned to the shop
• Assists other shop technicians with loading and unloading of equipment as needed
• Assists with electrical, hydraulic, and/or diesel engine repairs or maintenance on construction equipment
• Cleans, pressure washes and preps equipment for repairs
• May perform full-service maintenance on small equipment and diagnose simple mechanical problems
• Maintains safe work environment and follows safety standards
