Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. seeks a Technician I to perform preventive maintenance and repairs across a diverse fleet, including aerial work platforms, pumps and HVAC equipment.

This role emphasizes safety, hands-on skill building, and a path toward service or operations management. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of technician experience with diesel or heavy equipment, and knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 to 3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime.
• Work with a fleet primarily including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment.
• Assist in keeping equipment in service and ready for job sites.
