Job summary

The California State University Stanislaus campus is seeking a Student Assistant under the Federal Work Study program to support the Equipment Manager. The role involves assisting with equipment needs for students and faculty, setting up and delivering equipment across teaching sites, and maintaining inventory.

Qualified undergraduates must be enrolled in a minimum of six units and have received Financial Aid for the current term. Availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Undergrad students must be enrolled in at least six Fall/Spring units.
• Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current term.
• Experience with basic computer tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Equipment Manager with filling student and faculty equipment needs.
• Set up equipment for activity classes (e.g., volleyball, badminton).
• Deliver equipment to teaching sites on campus.
• Return and put away equipment after use.
• Maintain equipment inventory and report lost/non-returned items.
• Assist in other campus activities as directed.

• Temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study position available in Kinesiology & Public Health.

• Positionavailable on or after September 1, 2026 and ending on or before May 31, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.


• Job Description/Duties


• Duties include but are not limited to:
  
  
  
  • Assist Equipment Manager with filling student and faculty equipment needs.
  
  
  • Set-up equipment i.e. volley ball, badminton and other related activity related classes.
  
  
  • Assist in delivering equipment to various teaching sites on campus.
  
  
  • Put equipment away after it is returned.
  
  
  • Assist in maintaining equipment inventory and reporting lost or non-return equipment Running department errands.
  
  
  • Assist Equipment Manager with various other activities on campus.
  
  
  • Other duties as assigned.
  
  
  
  


• Qualifications
