Job summary

Executive Leadership Solutions is seeking a Field Technician to join the Operations Team. You will execute a comprehensive maintenance and repair program across multiple store locations in northern NJ, NY, and PA, traveling 100% of the time and being on-site daily to protect equipment and safety.

The role emphasizes hands-on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and water system maintenance, with opportunities to support new store openings and remodels.

Qualifications

  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems (VFDs, relays, sensors, switches, motors).
  • Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic components and water systems (RO, boilers, softeners).
  • Preventative maintenance across multiple system types is required.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

  • Perform maintenance audits and ensure checklists are completed accurately.
  • Maintain and schedule maintenance for all equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and water system issues.

Role:

The skilled Field Technician will join the Operations Team, reporting directly to the Director of Product. The Field Technician plays an integral, hands‑on role in ensuring best‑in‑class facilities by executing a comprehensive maintenance and repair program. This work protects our equipment, ensures the safety of our team members, and ultimately delivers a cleaner car for our customers. This role will be field based (northern NJ, NY, PA area). The Field Technician is expected to travel to stores 100% of the time and be on-site at locations daily.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Audits: Ensure General Managers and teams complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists accurately and consistently.
  • Process & Scheduling: Maintain maintenance schedules for all equipment.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and water system issues.
  • Safety Optimization: Uphold a clean, safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory of parts, tools, and key equipment components.
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with third‑party vendors to procure equipment, schedule service, and manage relationships.
  • Installation Support: Assist with equipment delivery and setup during new store openings or remodels, working closely with the Real Estate, Construction, and Operations teams.
  • Reporting: Document and report on all equipment downtime, repair activity, and facility related concerns.
  • Special Projects: Working with the Operations team members on additionally assigned duties
Required Skills, Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining: -Electrical Systems: VFDs, relays, sensors, switches, three-phase motors, etc. -Pneumatics & Hydraulics: solenoids, regulators, valves, compressors, pumps. -Mechanical Components: conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, welding, etc.
  • Water Systems: reclaim, RO systems, boilers, softeners
  • Preventative maintenance experience across multiple system types
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • Expected to be accessible by phone during operating hours and on call as scheduled
  • Availability to respond to time-sensitive repair needs including nights and weekends
  • Willingness to travel throughout NJ, NY, and PA with overnight travel 25% of the time
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the company's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requirements for operating company vehicles
  • Basic computer proficiency

  • Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions both indoors and outdoors
