Job summary

Talentify is seeking a maintenance technician for University Hospital. This full-time day shift role runs from 7:00am to 3:30pm and requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic electrical knowledge, and at least 2 years of related experience.

You will inspect, repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment, plumbing, and fluid systems, documenting issues in the work order system and identifying improvements to increase availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Requires working knowledge of electricity and ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Familiarity with OSHA, state/local and Joint Commission codes/regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting, inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with basic hand and machine tools and soldering.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, troubleshoots and performs preventative maintenance on equipment, including plumbing and fluid systems.
• Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability and yield.
• Tracks and reports problems through the work order system.
• May distribute equipment within the hospital and perform related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Requires a working knowledge of electricity and is able to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
• Requires ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Requires familiarity with troubleshooting techniques, inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Requires familiarity with basic hand and machine tools, soldering, designated preventive maintenance and other test equipment.

Position Summary

Inspects, repairs, troubleshoots and performs preventative maintenance on equipment, which may also include plumbing, pipefitting and work on other fluid related systems. Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. Identifies and properly reports through the work order system all potential and existing problems encountered. May track and distribute equipment throughout the hospitals. Performs other related duties as assigned.
