Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to fill the Equipment Tech IV role in the ORCM Reliability and Maintenance Group in Carlsbad, NM. This 6-month initial contract offers health, dental, vision benefits and a 3% matching 401k as part of a W2 arrangement with potential extension.

The position requires maintaining high-speed compressors, troubleshooting rotating equipment, and ensuring uptime and reliability in the Delaware Basin area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience with rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, VRUs).
• Experience maintaining high-speed compressors (500–2500 HP preferred).
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to find Equipment Tech IV to work for initially 6 Months contract in Carlsbad, NM. Work Schedule: 8/6 Job Type: W2 contract (One Year with possibility for extension) Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 3% matching 401k We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Equipment Tech in our ORCM Reliability and Maintenance Group. The position will be based in New Mexico Delaware Basin (Carlsbad, NM Area).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate, as our highest priority
• Assure compliance to Policy and Procedure expectations/standards (MOCs, PSSRs, Procedures, Audits, etc.)
• Ensure others including yourself, are respected, supported and encouraged to grow and succeed in their job
• Execute the high-speed compressor maintenance program and maintenance practices
• Maintain the assigned tools, equipment and parts inventory to execute the high-speed compressor maintenance program and maintenance practices
• Manage backlog of work orders to maintain compressor uptime and reliability
• Provide technical expertise to identify ways to reduce costs, and improve process uptime and mechanical reliability
• Support compression surveillance to maximize uptime and throughput
• Support OPEX reduction and compression optimization initiatives
• Responsible for housekeeping and safety in assigned work and areas
• Upon Supervisory approval, coordinate the use of contract resources to accomplish the Teams mission
• Cooperate with other company groups to meet business goals

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Must have valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Minimum of 1-3 years industrial maintenance experience in maintaining and repairing rotating equipment (i.e. Pumps, Compressors, VRUs)
• Experience in maintaining and repairing of high-speed compressors and engines in the horsepower range of 500 to 2500 HP (preferred)
• Thorough knowledge of oil and gas industry surface equipment types and applications
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform root cause failure analysis
• Capable of basic troubleshooting of automation and electrical equipment
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft office software (preferred)

Safety and Physical Requirements

• This role is occasionally subject to possible hazards (e.g.--chemical, extreme heat or cold, exposed heights)
• Ability to travel to all areas in the facility which may require climbing, ascending and descending stairs traveling long distances as required
• Lifting, carrying, stooping and reaching
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
• Ability to respond to audible and visual alarms
• Ability to communicate verbally and or in written form
