Ultium Cells, LLC. manufactures battery cells used in electric cars and other electric vehicles in a joint venture between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that utilizes the latest battery cell manufacturing technology. Job Description:

We are responsible for the management and operation of logistics equipment in battery production plants, including systems such as ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems), AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), conveyors, and lifters. Our mission is to ensure the seamless storage and transport of materials, thereby supporting stable and efficient production processes. We are seeking passionate and driven individuals to join our team and contribute to the continued growth and innovation of our logistics operations.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

• Operate, monitor, and manage logistics automation equipment, including conveyors, lifters, ASRS, AGVs, and related systems
• Manage the regular maintenance and promptly troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
• Analyze logistics workflows and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reliability
• Prepare technical reports, operational documentation, and maintenance records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support seamless integration of logistics systems into production operations

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or related), or similar required.
• 1- 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement or manufacturing in a highly automated and/or automotive engineering environment (Experience in manufacturing lithium-ion batteries is preferred.
• Must be able to speak and read English
• Experience with or knowledge of large production lines, PFMEAs, and process controls helpful but not required
• Knowledge of Time Studies, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, Six sigma, Bottleneck Analysis helpful
• Critical thinking and an analytical mindset
• Able to work flexible hours to support entire production team
• Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with FA equipment or related equipment preferred
• Familiarity with design and control software such as AutoCAD, Mitsubishi PLC, or equivalent
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean preferred
• Understanding of manufacturing/logistics processes in battery or electronics industries is a plus
