Job summary

CoVolt Power AHV seeks an experienced Equipment Manager to lead heavy equipment fleets for EPC projects in the U.S. You will oversee budget, allocation, and scheduling, while coordinating with site leadership to meet timelines.

Strong leadership, organization, and data analysis skills are essential to improve efficiency and reduce downtime. Experience with Vista Viewpoint or similar ERP software and familiarity with OSHA/DOT regulations are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of equipment management experience with an EPC contractor.
  • Experience managing heavy construction fleets in civil/industrial settings.
  • Understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations related to equipment operations.
  • Knowledge of Vista Viewpoint or similar ERP software is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Field experience supervising personnel and delegating tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage equipment budget and cost tracking for projects.
  • Coordinate with site operations, scheduling and leadership on equipment needs.
  • Oversee daily allocation and deployment of heavy equipment, tools, and fleet assets.
  • Supervise mechanics, equipment coordinators, yard personnel, and support staff.
  • Coordinate equipment scheduling to meet project timelines and operational needs.
  • Monitor utilization rates and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Oversee mobilization/demobilization of equipment to and from site.
  • Maintain fleet inventory records including ownership, location, hours, inspections, and maintenance history.
  • Coordinate field repairs with internal mechanics and vendors to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of equipment condition and operator practices.
  • Support incident investigations involving equipment or fleet operations.
  • Ensure timely completion of inspections, servicing, and repairs.
  • Coordinate with accounting via Vista Viewpoint to approve rental invoices.
  • This role may perform other duties as needed by the Equipment Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

  • Maintain accurate fleet inventory records including ownership, location, hours, inspections, and maintenance history.
  • Coordinate field repairs with internal mechanics and vendorsto minimize downtime
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment condition and operator practices.
  • Support incident investigations involving equipment or fleet operations.
  • Ensure timely completion of inspections, servicing, and repairs to minimize downtime
  • Coordinate with the accounting department through Vista Viewpoint to approve outstanding rental invoices and resolve any payment issues.
  • This role may be required to perform other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned or as necessary to meet the needs of the organization and Equipment Department
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of heavy construction equipmentincluding:pile drivers, dozers, skid steers, forklifts, and excavators
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Effective communicator with ability to write and speak clearly in a variety of settings
  • Well-organized and able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of heavy equipment systems
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED
  • 6-8 years' experience in equipmentmanagement with an EPC Contractor
