NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk seeks an Equipment Specialist (Hazmat) to manage hazardous materials and related equipment across aviation, shipboard, and ground support operations.

You will evaluate manuals and part lists, determine repair versus return to stock (RFI), and use ERMS systems for retrograde management. This role supports Navy operations with emphasis on safety and accurate parts identification.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of handling classified and hazmat materials.
• Familiarity with manuals, catalogs, parts lists and cross-reference lists.
• Judgment to determine repair vs ready for issue (RFI).

Qualifications

1. Experience dealing with aviation, shipboard, and ground support related equipment;
2. Knowledge of handling classified and hazmat materials;
3. Knowledge of various manuals, catalogs, parts lists, stock lists, cross reference lists, material identification software programs to aid in identifying parts.
4. Knowledge and judgment to recognize if an item can be economically repaired or returned to a ready for issue status (rfi).
5. Knowledge of ERMS (electronic retrograde management) systems of navy p700, p485 and p505.
