The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for an Equipment Specialist (Electronics) GG-1670-12 to work at JBSA-Lackland, San Antonio, TX.

Member will serve as an equipment specialist with the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division across multiple branches, programs, activities, and diverse mission disciplines. Provide technical support and establish a logistics and maintenance support services for life cycle sustainment.

This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.

Salary: $90,823 - $118,072

Qualifications
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Position is designated special sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. A favorable suitability determination is required before appointment.
  • Position has been designated a drug testing position.
  • Non-critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the APDP. Must meet or be capable of meeting DAWIA as designated on the position description with the defined grace period for the certification level after assignment.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of maintenance concepts, principals, and practices of EIT systems and/or equipment; and of DoD, NSA, AFMC, AFLCMC, Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division logistics procedures and policies.
  • Knowledge of security practices for safeguarding classified information and logistics support standard and non-standard systems.
  • Knowledge of wide range of maintenance concepts, principles and practices of Information Assurance systems or equipment.
  • Skill in providing technical advice in terms or oral and written briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and maintenance technicians.
  • Skill in analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and technical data.
