This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in the Equipment & Tool Loan Pool (NSFP) organization of Fleet Management (NSF), Supply Chain Services (NS), Chief Administrative Office (N).
A successful candidate in this position will serve as an equipment specialist performing a variety of administrative work that involves collecting, analyzing, etc., specialized information about BPA's heavy equipment & tool assets to support the management of BPA's fleet operations.
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-11] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience 1) analyzing complex project or operational requirements to schedule, dispatch, and coordinate the delivery of heavy mobile and specialized equipment and tools for construction, utility, or industrial operations; 2) performing cost-benefit and usage analyses on fleet assets to evaluate performance, coordinate maintenance schedules, and recommend equipment replacements; and 3) collaborating with customers and commercial vendors to negotiate rental agreements and resolve equipment availability conflicts.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
