Job summary

The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) is seeking a mechanic to maintain equipment and perform small engine repairs on HACP vehicles and lawn care machinery. The role focuses on basic vehicle PM and repairs in support of housing properties.

Candidates will have an associate degree or technical certificate in small engine repair and a valid driver’s license. Strong electrical repair ability and basic computer skills are valued for daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or two-year certificate in small engine repair with 2 years' experience.
• Knowledge of small gasoline engine repair and safety practices.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HACP lawn, garden, power tools equipment and seasonal equipment maintenance.
• Repair lawn mowers and determine if equipment should be taken out of service.
• Overhaul lawn and garden tractors and diagnose problems; order parts and repair.
