Job summary

Peak Rentals is seeking a Shop Technician to perform daily shop assignments, repair, maintain, service records and ensure safe, reliable operation of equipment. You will collaborate with Shop Foremen to communicate conditions, repair status and maintenance scheduling.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment; safety-minded and able to work independently in outdoor conditions typical of field service work.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Energy service experience helpful.
• Exhibit ability to be a strong team player.
• Possess excellent written and verbal skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Immediate correction of unsafe conditions and reporting to Shop Foreman or Operations Manager.
• Draft a thorough JSA identifying tasks, hazards and mitigation steps.
• Observe safety rules and keep workspaces clean and hazard-free.
• Team player, receptive to guidance and feedback.
• Update a JSA as situations change.
• Coordinate and/or participate in rigging up/down test equipment.
• Prepare equipment for jobs and load out.
