Job summary

WIRTGEN AMERICA, located in Antioch, TN, is seeking an Associate Shop Technician to perform inspections, maintenance and prep machine equipment for shipment. You will execute work orders and ensure readiness for customers.

You will read manuals, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, replace parts, use hand and power tools, and uphold safety standards in a moderate-noise work environment.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED required with less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical terminology and general equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Prepares machines for customers by installing features, removing/adding parts, and performing function tests.
• Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals/work orders to perform maintenance tasks.
• Replaces and repairs parts on machines.
• Utilizes hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
• Detects faulty operations and reports issues to supervisor.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and follows safety regulations.
• Receives incoming freight and conducts inventory; prepares loads for shipping.
