Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a full-time technician in Killeen, TX to operate diagnostic instruments and a range of hand and power tools on diesel and gasoline engines. The role involves repairing engine, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, transmission, ignition, exhaust, and related systems, with careful inspection and replacement of worn parts.

Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience.
• Must obtain Texas Class A CDL within six months of hire.
• Must obtain all basic level NIMS certifications within two months of date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic instruments and a variety of hand, electric, or air-driven tools on diesel and gasoline engines.
• Repair engine, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, transmission, ignition, exhaust, and related systems.
• Inspect, adjust, and replace faulty units and components during maintenance and repair.
• Work in an environment with moving parts, exposure to fumes, dust, and vibration and ensure safety protocols.
