Job summary

Doggett Equipment Services Group in Katy, TX is seeking a Shop Technician to service and repair equipment in the shop. You will remove and install components per service manuals, diagnose defects and document work performed.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
Experience in trouble-shooting and repairing diesel-powered heavy equipment.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
Must own proper tools to perform required repairs.

Responsibilities

Remove and install components per service manual.
Evaluate exchange items vs cost of repair.
Safely operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects.
Diagnose and repair engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generation and electrical components.
Document the work performed on the equipment.
Complete training and maintain required licensing.
Comply with safety regulations.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
