VPNE is seeking an Equipment Services Tech for a hospital setting. You will clean, maintain, and service assigned areas, performing duties under supervisor leadership. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 10:30pm–7:00am, with a focus on safe handling of equipment and teamwork.

Entry-level position requiring a high school diploma, English proficiency, and the ability to read technical manuals. You will operate various tools, train new staff occasionally, and ensure equipment is delivered per company standards.

Job description

Position Summary

Equipment Services Tech cleans, maintains, and services an assigned area or task within or associated with the hospital facilities performed under the direct leadership of a supervisor.

Schedule : Mon - Fri (10.30pm - 7am)

Responsibilities
  • Operate electric and battery-powered equipment for cleaning services and rearrangement of furniture/equipment

  • Wear protective clothing as required

  • Working effectively in a team environment

  • Thorough/extensive cleaning of medical equipment

  • Using technology to manage orders

  • Communicating with frontline staff

  • Search for equipment that is not currently in a storage area

  • Delivering equipment consistent with company standards

  • Occasionally assist in training new employees to perform assigned tasks

Years of Experience: Entry Level

Language Skills: Proficient in English both verbally and in write

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Experience in equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

  • Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • The ability to add and subtract numbers and make comparisons between numbers and letters

  • Respond appropriately to instructions, questions, or requests for information

  • The ability to be courteous when occasionally making contact with patients and visitors

Physical Demands:
  • Work requires lifting and carrying patients/children/objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and moving patients/children/objects weighing 11 to 20 pounds.

  • Work requires regular stooping and bending.

  • The job requires reaching and grasping objects below the shoulder level and frequently reaching and grasping objects at the shoulder level.

  • Work occasionally requires reaching and grasping objects above shoulder level.

  • Work requires continually pushing and pulling non-motorized equipment (e.g., stretcher, food cart, mop.) potentially weighing over 50 Ibs

  • Work requires regular grasping and fine manipulation with the hands.
