Job summary

Gulf Coast JCB is seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of construction equipment along the Gulf Coast. You will work under the Service Manager, performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to ensure uptime and customer trust.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, welding skills, and the ability to learn diagnostic software. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Baton Rouge location with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience repairing and maintaining compact or heavy construction equipment.
• Welding experience.
• Computer literate with ability to learn diagnostic software.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment tests.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair excavators, skid steers, track loaders, boom lifts, rollers, and other machinery.
• Repair, replace, and rebuild components on hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and powertrain systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, annual inspections, and certifications.
• Diagnose hydraulic system issues.
• Read and interpret parts diagrams, service manuals, wiring schematics, and hydraulic schematics.
• Document work performed and complete service reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Represent Gulf Coast JCB professionally with customers and coworkers.
