Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. seeks a Customer Support Specialist to service customer calls for rental and sale of construction/industrial equipment. This front-line role understands customer needs, negotiates and places orders, and supports sales development with a courteous, professional attitude.

Responsibilities include processing orders, coordinating deliveries, administering contracts, and improving revenue while maintaining Sunbelt safety policies. Training and mentoring may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years of equipment rental industry experience preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction equipment and pricing policy.
• Strong telephone skills.
• Customer service aptitude.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Solid computer skills.
• Able to read instructions, numbers legibly in English.

Responsibilities

• Provides responsive, exemplary customer service to current and potential customers.
• Determines/understands customer equipment needs through questioning and qualifying; provides alternative equipment suggestions.
• Negotiates price and volume of original orders by maximizing rate and volume.
• Places high volumes of equipment orders and finalizes details for rental/purchase.
• Improves revenue and service standards by identifying opportunities for additional rental and sales needs.
• Administers rental contracts and ensures proper charges and paperwork.
• Handles customer complaints professionally to satisfaction.
• Supports sales and marketing by prospecting calls and relaying leads.
