Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking an Equipment Reliability Engineer to proactively manage asset lifecycles through data-driven analysis and rigorous fault investigation. The role emphasizes improving uptime, cutting maintenance costs, and leading CI efforts within our manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Automation, and Operations to deploy predictive tools and best practices, ensuring reliable operations from day one.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (BSME/BSEE or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing/engineering/maintenance experience.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred; knowledge of Lean tools (6S, Kaizen, Operational Excellence).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and leadership for equipment reliability improvement.
  • Lead equipment reliability excellence initiatives.
  • Generate and deploy projects to improve uptime and effectiveness.
  • Track production losses and abnormally high maintenance costs to prioritize and eliminate frequently failing assets.
  • Participate in the Management of Change process for new/modified equipment to ensure maintainability and reliability from day one.
  • Lead investigations into equipment failures to identify underlying causes and implement permanent solutions.
  • Develop Preventive (PM) and Predictive (PdM) maintenance strategies using vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic, and oil analysis.
  • Collaborate with Automation, Engineering, Operations and Maintenance to resolve short and long term issues.
  • Identify, implement, and/or support continuous improvement (CI) projects throughout the facility.
