Job Juncture is helping a Forbes top 100 hospital in east central Ohio find an Equipment Processing Tech. The role requires cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining instrument trays and equipment while ensuring sterility and proper maintenance protocols.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be certified in Sterile Processing and Distribution or obtain it within two years, and be knowledgeable in medical terminology. Relocation assistance is available.

Mansioni

• Cleans, disinfects, and terminally sterilizes instruments and equipment used for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Assembles all components of instrument trays used within area of responsibility.
• Keeps equipment coordinator informed of problems with equipment and instruments.
• Uses sterilization processes including steam, Sterrad, and Steris.
• Maintains event-related sterility according to procedure.
• Understands decontamination and sterilization processes for hospital instruments and equipment.

What they’re looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified in Sterile Processing and Distribution or obtain within two years of employment.
• Knowledgeable of medical terminology.

Hours and compensation potential:

• Full time position. Shifts are varied and there is rotating weekends and holidays.
• The range is between $18.50hr-$25.00ht per year depending on experience.
• Full benefits package including(Medical, Dental, Life, PTO) and relocation assistance.

What you’ll be doing:

• Cleans, disinfects, and terminally sterilizes instruments and equipment. Knowledgeable of the function, operation, and maintenance of instrumentation and equipment utilized for the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge required to accurately assemble all components of trays used within area of responsibility.
• Keeps equipment coordinator informed of any problems or suspected problems with the various pieces of equipment and instruments in their assigned area.
• Uses various sterilization processes that are in place including steam, Sterrad and Steris.
• Maintains event related sterility according to procedure.
• Demonstrates understanding of the decontination and sterilization process of instruments and equipment used throughout the hospital.
• Demonstrates an understanding of instruments and instrument trays used on a daily basis and the maintenance of those instruments and instrument trays.
• Demonstrates the correct use of Impress Instrument Tracking System in each area.
