Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate in Grand Rapids, MI. You will perform manual tasks to support trench safety branch operations, assist with customer orders, and maintain equipment readiness while prioritizing safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include assembling and loading equipment, delivering support, and checking equipment condition. The role offers growth opportunities through our Driver development program and a safety-focused, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Some knowledge of computers and phone apps is preferred.
• Experience operating medium to large forklifts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, load and unload equipment and assist with deliveries; prepare equipment for rental.
• Perform routine checks to ensure safety and good working order.
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy.
• Greet customers and help with inquiries; suggest equipment and supplies as needed.
• Maintain safety and follow procedures in a team-based environment.
