Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Equipment Associate to support Trench Safety branch operations. You will assist in preparing customer orders, loading and unloading equipment, and performing safety checks to ensure equipment is safe and ready for rental.

This role emphasizes teamwork, dependability, and attention to safety, with opportunities for advancement into our Driver development program and broader career paths within United Rentals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience operating medium to large forklifts preferred.
• Knowledge of trench safety equipment is an advantage but not required.
• Some knowledge of computers and phone apps.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• PPE and work boots provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, load and unload equipment, assist with deliveries and prepare equipment for rental.
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order.
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy.
• Greet customers and assist with customer inquiries about equipment.
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs.
• Other duties as needed.
