Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is hiring an Equipment Associate in Reno, NV to support trench safety branch operations. You will help prepare customer orders, assemble, load, and unload equipment, and perform safety checks to ensure equipment is safe and ready for rental.

The role emphasizes dependability, adherence to safety procedures, and teamwork. A high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication are required; forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or higher
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Experience operating medium to large forklifts preferred
• Some knowledge of computers and phone apps is beneficial
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assemble, load and unload equipment, assist with deliveries and prepare equipment for rental
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy
• Greet customers and assist with customer inquiries about equipment
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs
• Other duties assigned as needed
