Job summary

Moapa-Band-of-Paiutes is seeking a dependable Water Truck Driver / Equipment Operator for its Sand & Gravel Department to support upcoming solar projects. You will safely operate a water truck and other heavy equipment in an active aggregate and construction setting on gravel roads.

This role requires safety-minded, punctual individuals who can follow site procedures, work overtime when needed, and pass drug screenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Water truck or heavy equipment experience preferred but not required.
• Must demonstrate safe driving skills and good judgment.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to follow verbal and written safety instructions.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Sand & Gravel Department is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Water Truck Driver / Equipment Operator to support upcoming solar projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a water truck and other heavy equipment in an active aggregate and construction environment. This position requires the ability to safely drive on gravel roads with high volumes of oncoming traffic, as well as operate various equipment as needed to support daily Sand & Gravel operations. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn, dependable, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Duties

• Safely operate a water truck on gravel roads and active construction sites.
• Maintain constant awareness of surrounding vehicles, equipment, personnel, and changing road conditions.
• Demonstrate safe and responsible driving practices in areas with high-volume oncoming traffic.
• Follow site-specific traffic plans, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Learn and properly perform assigned water truck operations and responsibilities.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns.
• Maintain reliable attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Work cooperatively with other employees, equipment operators, and project personnel.
• Perform other duties related to water truck operations as assigned.
