Job summary

GCC is seeking an Equipment Operator to support plant operations. You will operate front-end loaders, graders, water trucks, excavators and pickups, performing routine checks and maintenance while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Under supervision of the Plant Manager, you will communicate with internal and external customers, vendors and visitors, and be prepared to work where needed to meet plant needs. GCC offers a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Must have a Valid Driver's License.
• 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment including front-end loaders, water trucks, graders, and pickup trucks.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles (oil, water, tires).
• Report maintenance/repairs needed to management.
• Operate graders for leveling.
• Operate front-end loaders as required.
• Operate excavators as required.
• Operate water trucks as required.
• Operate various equipment for general site preparation, landscaping and related assignments.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote safety and environmental practices.
• Familiarize or train on MSHA safety rules, lockout/Tagout policy, confined spaces policy and other materials.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, vendors and visitors.
• Work where and when directed by plant supervisor to meet plant needs.

• Operates various equipment for general site preparation, landscaping and related assignments.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Should be familiar or willing to be trained on MSHA safety rules, safety procedures for plant mobile equipment, lockout/Tagout policy, confined spaces policy, hot work policy, lubricants, paints/solvents and other environmentally sensitive materials.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, vendors and visitors.
• Will work where and when needed as directed by plant supervisor to meet plant needs.

Experience & abilities you will need:
