Job summary

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring Equipment Operators for the Akron/Cleveland area. You’ll assist the Foreman to complete projects safely, on time and per customer specs, with field crews and a variety of construction equipment.

Responsibilities include operating a company vehicle daily, aiding installation of manholes and vaults, and handling diverse equipment safely (backhoes, drills, trenchers, cranes, excavators).

Qualifications

• 2+ years safe and productive experience
• Direction Drill Operators - 2-3+ years safe and productive experience
• Mini-Excavators - 6+ months safe and productive experience
• Valid Class A CDL Drivers license strongly preferred
• Familiarity with DOT's Enforcement and Compliance regulations
• Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing)
• Ability to communicate with Teammates
• Willingness to work and follow directions
• Has a thorough working knowledge of utility construction and installation
• Willingness to travel a plus
• Bilingual and prior construction experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operates company vehicle daily to deliver and pick up materials and equipment.
• Works in the field with crews installing manholes and vaults.
• Operates utility construction equipment safely and productively (backhoes, drills, trenchers, cranes, excavators).
