Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years’ experience operating assigned equipment.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Some customer service experience preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
• CDL Class B with Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsements preferred; must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate backhoe, boom truck, loader, pipe saws, and other equipment to trench and install lines.
• Open trenches for installation and repair of lines and hydrants; backfill and level trenches.
• Assist in connecting and repairing lines and backfilling trenches after repairs.
• Load and unload pipes at work sites; assist Maintenance Technician when not operating equipment.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance on equipment.
