Harford County is seeking an Equipment Operator Trainee to learn and safely operate a range of construction equipment under supervision. The role offers on-the-job training, routine servicing, and the potential for promotion after completing trainee level.

Basic labor experience and a High School Diploma are required, with a valid Maryland driver's license. Some certifications must be obtained within six months of hire, and you may be part of snow removal duties during emergencies.

Qualifications

• One year of general laboring experience, plus basic equipment operation.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Learn and become proficient in operating assigned equipment.
• Follow safety rules and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Assist with loading/unloading and moving equipment.
• Participate in snow removal and be on-call during emergencies.
• Perform duties when not operating assigned equipment.
