Base pay range
$21.95/hr - $30.98/hr
This is a Full time, Non-Bargaining, Non-Exempt position based on a 40-hour work week with an hourly pay range of $21.95 - $30.98 . This position will work at 1820 2 nd Ave North Lake Worth Beach, FL 33460
Job Summary
This is a skilled position for the operation of all types of heavy equipment used in the operation of a sanitary sewer system. Works under the direct overseeing of a Foreman or Supervisor.

- Operate backhoe, grading tractor, jet truck, flat-bed truck, dump truck and pickup truck
- Participates in the installation, maintenance and repair of sewer mains and related appurtenances.
- Operates televising equipment used in sewer system vaporooter equipment
- Works near and around utility conflicts exercising caution and care
- Required to carry a beeper and answer after hour callouts.
- Performs related work as required.

Education And/Or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Possession of valid Florida CDL Class B driver’s license͖.
- State Licenses Desirable. Sanitary Sewer and or Storm Sewer.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, writes, and comprehends simple instructions in the English language, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and citizens
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of the materials, methods, practices and equipment used in the operation of the sanitary sewer systems.
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards and of safety precautions in operating equipment
- Physical strength and agility sufficient to do heavy lifting and carrying and to work occasionally under adverse weather conditions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with other employees and the general public
- Ability to accurately read system maps, blueprints, and thorough knowledge of service area.

- Must be able to perform the physical life functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, standing,
- Walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of Force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
- Ability to maneuver through storm sewer water management and drainage facilities, sometimes heavily vegetated.

Sensory Requirements
Must possess visual acuity to produce and review written reports and records including mathematical calculations, operate a computer terminal, analyze data, and read maps, schematic drawings, and plans, and do extensive reading.
All full-time employees are considered critical in response to emergency situations and may be deemed essential as needed depending on the situation.
Employees in this position will be required to complete the FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) Certification Levels 100, 200, 700 and 800 within the first six months of employment. Certain positions may be required to attain additional ICS training as needed.
