Job Description - Equipment Operator - Rockbreaker - Roving Crew (2500016B)

What You’ll Do:

  1. Promote Safety: Prioritize safety in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards, actively ensuring safety for yourself and others at all times.
  2. Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate off-highway equipment to transport raw materials and finished products efficiently across the facility.
  3. Inspect Equipment: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and accurately complete all relevant documentation.
  4. Maintain Equipment: Check vehicle fluid levels, add the correct fluids, and assist with minor maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  5. Monitor Processes and Surroundings: Oversee plant operations, report necessary maintenance or adjustments, and ensure safety standards are maintained.

Skills You’ll Need:

  • Experience: Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Best Practices: Understanding of operating and servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, outdoors in all weather conditions, and tolerate loud noises.
