About the Role

The Equipment Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of heavy machinery at our Fort Lupton facility. This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of various types of equipment, essential for our production processes. The successful candidate will contribute to overall productivity by adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines, performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality products in a safe environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary certifications for equipment operation.
  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift to 50lbs or more.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in heavy equipment operation from an accredited program.
  • Experience with machinery relevant to our operations.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in equipment operation.
Responsibilities
  • Operate applicator by injecting approved material on permitted fields, maintaining environmental compliance.
  • Obey and flag buffered zones on permitted fields before application.
  • Pull soil samples and have soil analysis completed before moving to a new field.
  • Record and subtract loads applied in the field log after each application.
  • Use best management practices during application to ensure proper land treatment and respect for landowners' property.
  • Monitor land usage and frac tank levels, reporting to management daily.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork including field logs, DVIRs, environmental logs, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Inspect and maintain all equipment used in the field, reporting malfunctions and scheduling repairs.
  • Ensure safe equipment operation, wearing all proper PPE, and following safety protocols.
  • Report spills immediately to management.
