Summary

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient diagnosis, adjustment, and repair of plant equipment including stone crushers, screens, conveyors, etc. Operate various equipment such as off-road heavy-duty trucks, water trucks, quarry trucks, and stock trucks. Opportunities to grow through training in other areas of the aggregate production facility.

Compensation And Company Benefits

• $23.00-$27.00 an hour

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and reassemble heavy plant components using hoists and hand tools.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Test mechanical products and equipment post-repair for performance and compliance.
• Perform routine maintenance like lubrication, oil changes, and filter replacements.
• Read and interpret operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Examine parts for damage or wear using micrometers and gauges.
• Wear PPE in designated areas as per OSHA and MSHA guidelines.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
• Load and move materials using appropriate trucks and equipment.
• Maintain regular and timely attendance.

Requirements

• Maintain a current driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Mechanical inclination; previous mining experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to drive heavy trucks for extended periods, crawl, kneel, bend, reach, climb ladders, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
