This position is responsible for the safe and efficient setup, inspection, and operation of equipment/machinery used in processing pet food and treats. Responsibilities include following standard operating procedures, completing production paperwork, and meeting product specifications.

Core Responsibilities

• Minimum of 6 months forklift experience
• Warehouse experience preferred
• Standing for extended periods (up to 2-3 hours)
• Walking long distances on wet, uneven, or slippery surfaces
• Climbing ladders, steps, and platforms
• Carrying, lifting (up to 60 lbs), pushing, and pulling heavy objects
• Working in cold (20-45°F) and hot (>100°F) environments with animal fats
• Using personal protective equipment and handling sharp tools safely
• Maintaining awkward postures and performing repetitive hand and arm movements
• Using various tools and machinery
• Following oral and written instructions
• Additional duties as applicable

Qualifications

• Ability to pass PIT training and understand safe driving techniques
• Accurate completion of production and pre-op checklists
• Understanding of written and verbal instructions
• Adherence to safety and food safety policies
