Job summary

Daiso USA is seeking an Equipment Operator for our Manteca, CA facility. The role involves safe operation of forklifts and other material handling gear to move, load, and store goods across receiving, storage, and shipping areas.

You will perform daily equipment checks, assist with inbound/outbound staging, and maintain strict safety and organization standards on the dock and in racking. Candidates should have up to one year of warehouse experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 0–1 year of warehouse experience or similar.
• Forklift certified or able to obtain certification.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate equipment at heights.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for inventory and tallying.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (stand-up/sit-down), reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trailers, containers, and trucks accurately and safely.
• Retrieve and place pallets in high-bay racking systems using proper equipment and safety protocols.
• Organize and stack products in designated storage areas.
• Perform daily equipment inspections; report and document any operational issues or needed maintenance.
• Support inbound and outbound operations by staging and labeling shipments.
• Work with shipping and receiving teams to ensure smooth dock operations.
• Maintain clean and orderly dock, racking, and staging areas in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
• Adhere to SOPs for equipment usage and warehouse processes.

Description

Job Summary:

The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, load, and retrieve goods within the warehouse. This role plays a key part in supporting the flow of products through receiving, storage, and shipping while ensuring accuracy, safety, and organization.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Skills & Abilities:

Forklift certified or able to obtain and maintain forklift and equipment certifications.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate equipment at various heights.

Strong attention to safety and detail in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Basic math and understanding of warehouse workflows.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.

Available shifts:

1st Shift: Morning start to afternoon finish

2nd Shift: Afternoon start to evening finish

3rd Shift: Evening start to morning finish

Work conditions may include high noise levels, mechanical equipment, dust/dirt, and moving machinery.

Role requires consistent physical activity and attention to safety in a team-based warehouse environment.

Job Scope:

No supervisory responsibilities.
