Sims Metal is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to operate front-end loaders, forklifts, bobcats, and skid steers while following safety regulations. The role includes pre- and post-shift inspections, routine maintenance, and loading/unloading operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.

• Minimum 12 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Operate frontend loader with bucket, 12k forklift or smaller with rotator, bobcat and skid steer safely.
• Perform pre‑shift and end‑of‑shift inspections and grease daily upkeep.
• Load trucks, pile scrap material, and load/unload barges and rail cars.
• Complete routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• End of shift cleanup and equipment inspection.
• Ensure overall safety of the work environment.
