The City of Winston-Salem is seeking an intermediate semiskilled Utility worker to transport equipment to job sites and assist a crew under supervision. You will operate wastewater mainline cleaning equipment and help maintain a safe work environment.
Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and experience with jet trucks or CCTV equipment; on-call rotation and North Carolina CDL Class B are required or encouraged. The role is full-time and on-site.
Performs intermediate semiskilled work transporting equipment to job sites, assisting crew when necessary, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Utilities Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of related industry, organization, and department policies, practices, and procedures; thorough knowledge of related industry, organization, and departmental legal guides, recommendations, best practices, ordinances, and laws; thorough knowledge of industry standard and department specific equipment and materials; ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to perform manual labor; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public.
High school diploma or GED. Preferred moderate experience operating a jet truck, CCTV equipment, and/or other utility equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
