Job summary

RiverStone Group, Inc. in Cordova, IL is hiring an Equipment Operator/Maintenance Worker for our sand & gravel plant. You will operate and maintain heavy equipment, work around water, and endure all weather conditions with safety as a priority.

Starting wage is $34 per hour, with benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, paid holidays and vacation, and a 401k with company match. Pre-employment screening is required, and overtime may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong emphasis on safety and physical stamina.
• Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
• Dredge operations experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Fabrication and welding skills are a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting in all weather conditions.

We have an immediate full-time opening for a Equipment Operator/Maintenance worker at our sand & gravel Plant in Cordova, IL. The individual in this position must be dedicated to safety and comfortable working around water and in all weather conditions, as they will be working on a dredge located on the water. Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed.

Major Equipment Operator/Maintenance responsibilities include:

• Operating and maintaining heavy machinery
• Maintaining and repairing all equipment
• Properly following all company policies and adhering to all governmental regulations
• Welding, repair, and fabrication on equipment associated with a dredge/sand operation

The ideal Equipment Operator/Maintenance candidate will have:

• High school diploma or GED
• A focus on safety and a strong work ethic
• Experience operating and maintaining Heavy Equipment
• A background in dredge operations is preferred
• A strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in fabrication and welding is preferred
• A valid driver's license
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and rigorous physical activity in all weather conditions
