Job summary

N/A is seeking an Equipment Operator to work from the South Kent Landfill with standard hours Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm. You will operate bulldozers, loaders, and landfill compactors, assist with transfer operations, and keep machinery clean and well-maintained.

The role requires proactive troubleshooting, record-keeping, and the ability to cover lunch shifts for face operators. A high school diploma and prior heavy equipment experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in a industrial/landfill setting preferred.
• Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Operate bulldozers, landfill compactors, and loaders safely and efficiently.
• Assist with transfer operations and landfill needs.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment; perform minor repairs.
• Spend <50% of time on working face; rest on maintenance tasks.
• Cover lunch periods for operators on the working face.
• Maintain maintenance records and communicate with supervisor; may supervise helpers.
