The ideal candidate will have experience safely operating heavy machinery in various construction environments and be capable of performing labor-intensive jobs. Responsibilities include operating a variety of equipment, safely pulling and backing trailers, properly securing loads, and using power tools and hand tools. The candidate must conduct pre-operation inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safety and functionality, maintain a clean work environment, and have excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina for extended periods. Understanding and practicing construction site safety is essential. Strong communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with crew members, supervisors, contractors, and the public, building positive relations. The role involves traveling to surrounding states for work. Tasks include labor-intensive jobs such as operating heavy machinery, driving dump trucks and pickup trucks to transport materials and equipment, landscaping, tree pruning, tree removal, and stump grinding. Overtime may be required occasionally. A probation period is mandatory. Pay depends on experience and will be determined after the probation period. Candidates must be reliable, show up fit for duty, and pass pre-employment drug screening and occasional random drug tests.
