Job summary

Tarrant County seeks an experienced equipment operator to maintain and construct county roads and city projects. You will operate complex heavy construction equipment, perform maintenance, transport gear, and ensure traffic control standards at the work site.

The role requires a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within 30 days, a high school diploma or GED, and 3 years of related experience (an additional 4 years may substitute for the diploma).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years related experience; 4 extra years can substitute for HS.
• CDL Class A required on hire; tanker endorsement within 30 days.
• Advanced knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance is required.

6. Maintains job site safety standards.
7. May develop work schedules, evaluate lower-level employees, and prioritize jobs.
8. May order supplies.
9. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
• An additional four (4) years of related experience may substitute for a high school diploma.
• A Class A CDL is required upon hire, and a tanker endorsement is required within thirty (30) days of hire.
• Must have advanced knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to stoop, bend, push and pull. May have to lift heavy boxes or objects up to 100 pounds. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals. Exposure to extreme heat and cold.
