Job description

**COMMUNICATION REGARDING TEST INFORMATION WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL**

PURPOSE AND NATURE OF WORK

This position is assigned to the Bridge Maintenance Section, responsibilities include operating heavy equipment such as a large track excavator, backhoe and tandem dump truck with trailer to haul equipment.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in the operation of heavy construction equipment similar to those types listed herein, including some experience in precision work; or any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.

NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with airbrake and combination endorsements as issued by the State of Louisiana. Applicants must have at least a valid Commercial Driver’s License or CDL permit to apply and test, but must obtain a Louisiana Class A CDL with endorsements, prior to appointment.

TYPE OF EXAMINATION - Performance test on the Excavator and Tandem Dump Truck.
