Position Overview:
The Equipment Operator will work as part of a team to provide superior service and stakeholder satisfaction through responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and preservation of equipment utilized for tasks related to Glycol Recovery Vehicles and processing, while ensuring the well-being of self and all internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow established guidelines for equipment operation near airfield personnel, aircraft, and other airfield equipment without interfering with aircraft movement;
- Promptly collect spent ADF to avoid fluid escape;
- Proper operation and maintenance of testing equipment;
- Perform product quality testing and ensure accurate reporting and accounting;
- Perform water quality testing and reporting in relation to SOPs;
- Monitor glycol processing equipment units to ensure optimum production and efficiency;
- Perform quality assurance sampling of all production processes during shifts, using correct sampling protocols as established by Inland SOPs, ensuring all samples comply with company and government regulations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years old;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Successful completion of all classroom and on-the-job training;
- Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking);
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals;
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent;
- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings;
- Ability to operate a motorized vehicle safely in various weather conditions;
- Basic knowledge of aircraft operations;
- General mechanical skills and ability to use hand tools;
- A driving record that meets company insurance standards;
- Positive attitude and good-natured demeanor;
- Ability to remain calm and perform under pressure within fixed time constraints;
- A valid driver's license is required.
Work Environment:
- Office environment with potential for extended sitting;
- Continuous use of computer, keyboard, and mouse;
- Warehouse environment with physical activity, noise, odors, and exposure to heavy equipment;
- Outdoor environment with exposure to weather, dust, fumes, and moving vehicles.
Physical Demands:
- Extended sitting and standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and manual control of tools and objects;
- Work at heights up to 40 feet;
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
