Tarrant County is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our road and construction teams. This role involves operating specialized equipment to support maintenance and build projects on county roads and city partnerships.

Candidate responsibilities include transporting gear, ensuring traffic safety at work sites, and performing routine equipment maintenance. A CDL is required at hire with tanker endorsement due soon after starting.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
• An additional four (4) years of related experience may substitute for a high school diploma.
• A Class A CDL is required upon hire, and a tanker endorsement is required within thirty (30) days of hire.
• Must have basic knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.

Responsabilidades

• Operates different types of specialized/heavy equipment.
• Performs road maintenance or construction related duties while operating equipment.
• Transports equipment and supplies.
• Maintains and controls traffic at work site.
• Performs routine maintenance on equipment or trucks and reports needed repairs.
• May perform general landscape maintenance.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
