Job summary

City of Little Rock is seeking an Equipment Operator to run a Bobcat, flusher, street sweeper, dump truck and other municipal equipment to keep city streets clean and debris-free.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months experience operating medium or heavy earth-moving equipment, a valid Arkansas Class A or B CDL, and must obtain an N endorsement within 120 days of employment. This is a safety-sensitive role with random drug/alcohol screening.

Qualifications

• Experience operating medium or heavy earth-moving equipment (6 months).
• Possess a valid Arkansas Class A or B CDL and obtain an N endorsement within 120 days.
• Willingness to work in outdoor conditions and pass random drug/alcohol screening.

JOB OBJECTIVE: To operate a Bobcat, flusher, street sweeper, dump truck and other equipment to clean City streets and to clear City streets of debris.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through the completion of eighth (8th) grade and six (6) months of experience in the operation of medium or heavy earth-moving equipment or related equipment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT

• Must possess a valid Arkansas Class A or B (Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment; Must obtain an N endorsement within one hundred twenty (120) days of employment and maintain licensure and endorsement for duration of employment in this position.
